A little quasi-bike riding

So, the reason why one is wearing a helmet and the other is not is because one likes the helmet, and the other does not.

Penelope's view

A weekend jaunt to Shenandoah

Why does this remind me of Monty Python?

Our eldest has taken some of the best pictures we have

Do you feel like you are on the hammock with them? That view up into the trees really is what it looks like most of the time, minus the upset child--one of my favorite views at our home.

Late beach post

We visited the beach with Robert's parents and have many great memories of our time, such as
--dipping for crabs with Grandma (I think that is chicken meat on the end of the string. Great ranger activity at Assateague Island)
--hunting for ponies with Grandpa
--and playing with cousins at home. (That contraption H and N are
playing in is the support for a glass-topped table. After running interference between them and the table for four days, I finally wised up and took the glass off entirely.)

Oh, I have no pictures of the beach itself because I didn't trust myself with the camera, waves, sand, and two unpredictabilities. It turned out that Harriet developed a growing
distaste for the ocean over the week while by the end, we couldn't keep Naomi from the waves.
Penelope jumped waves for hours.

The big snow

Another late post. Our trek in the snow. Clearly, the car didn't go anywhere for a while.

D caught in the middle

We loved having our cousin visit--the one we will forever be ganging up on :)

Lots of Christmas angels

Doing a little late-posting from Christmas.

Best spot in the house

After realizing things were a little too quiet, I enter my room to crazy giggling coming from under the bed. Spelunking and rock/furniture climbing are the sports of choice now at our house.
